Why do we need to build?
Since 2021, we’ve been actively building so students can progress to the next grade each school year. Our students at Tenkaraki Inkera Demonstration School start their Christ-centered, academically challenging education in Pre-K (PP1). When school opened in 2022, we had completed classrooms for incoming PP1 and PP2. This year, 2026, we will complete classrooms that will allow our students to finish their entire primary education, PP1 – Grade 6, at TIDS. We praise God for His provision through many generous donors that will have achieved this goal by the end of 2026.
The Kenyan government recently reconfigured their educational system. They moved Grade 9 from High School and formed Junior Secondary to include Grades 7 – 9. These grades are to be housed on Primary school campuses. In order to best serve our students so they can finish their excellent education at TIDS instead of moving to the local government school. To do so, we must add one classroom per year until we have reached Grade 9. Competition for acceptance and scholarships to High School is very strong, and our desire is for our students to be well-prepared.
Site Plan
The site plan below shows our current buildings with light red roofs, and ones that must be added are labeled with dark red roofs. The second 4-unit teacher apartment building referenced in Phase 3 expenses will be placed in the green space just to the right of the one shown.
The architectural plans for Grade 4 – 6 classrooms and the library include foundations that will accommodate a second floor. That will allow us to build the Junior Secondary science lab and classrooms for Grades 7 – 9 above those classrooms, saving money and space on our campus.

To complete the entire campus with one classroom per grade costs only $280,000 US dollars! (5.66% contingency added). Please help with construction costs to make this dream a reality!
