School Construction Plans
why do we need to build?
The Kenyan government changed their educational system configuration. They moved Grade 9 from High School and formed Junior Secondary to include Grades 7 - 9, sited on Primary school campuses. To serve our students so they can compete for High School, we must add one classroom per year until we have reached Grade 9.
Site Plan
The site plan below shows our current buildings with light red roofs, and ones that must be added are labeled with dark red roofs. The second 4-unit teacher apartment building referenced in Phase 3 expenses will be placed in the green space just to the right of the one shown.
The architectural plans for Grade 4 - 6 classrooms and the library include foundations that will accommodate a second floor. That will allow us to build the Junior Secondary science lab and classrooms for Grades 7 - 9 above those classrooms, saving money and space on our campus.
To complete the entire campus with one classroom per grade costs only $280,000 US dollars! (5.66% contingency added). Please help with construction costs to make this dream a reality!
