What will YOUR gifts support?
For the Children’s Sake works to share God’s love to orphaned, vulnerable and impoverished children in Kenya. Our efforts focus on education as our primary way to impact lives for Christ - everything we do is “for the children’s sake”! Your gifts will support many effective ways of touching a child’s life with God’s love. Here’s a bit more information on ways to give.
General Support
General support is unrestricted giving that is used to carry out the mission of For the Children’s Sake. One area that falls under General support is Leboo community outreach, the practical ways we show God’s care for local Maasai.
We provide reliable clean water to the rural Maasai people of Leboo, so children and their families have access to clean water, no longer depending on the river.
We encourage the education of girls by providing washable feminine hygiene products so girls can attend school every week of the month.
We bring Maasai health professionals in for frequent community education to teach Biblical ways to function in families, benefiting girls and women by teaching against Female Genital Mutilation, child/early-marriage, beating wives, denying food to pregnant women, and other detrimental customs.
We bring food aid to the community during crisis times.
education support
Education support provides Professional Development seminars for teachers and administrators to Christian schools serving impoverished children throughout Kenya. From 2006 to March 2025 over 2,230 teachers have received professional development, impacting the lives of over 58,000 children for Christ.
It also supports Tenkaraki Inkera Demonstration School (which means For the Children’s Sake in Maa), bringing an excellent Christ-centered education to the vulnerable, impoverished and disadvantaged children served by our school in the semi-arid region of Maasai-land. You’ll help provide children receive an excellent Christ-centered education, a nutritious breakfast and lunch, nurturing teachers, as well as curriculum, classroom supplies, uniforms, play equipment - everything they need to grow and flourish as God’s children.
School Construction Support
Ongoing school construction is required for Tenkaraki Inkera Demonstration School to meet the new Kenyan standard having PP1 through Junior Secondary on one campus (Pre-K - Gr 9). This will give our students the best opportunity to be accepted into a high school.
